This Privacy Policy complies with the Personal Information Protection Act (PIPA) of the Republic of Korea and relevant regulations. Wynngate Korea Co., Ltd. (the "Company") processes and manages personal information lawfully and safely in order to protect the freedom and rights of data subjects. Pursuant to Article 30 of PIPA, the Company hereby establishes and discloses this Privacy Policy to inform data subjects of the procedures and standards for processing personal information and to ensure prompt and smooth resolution of related grievances.

Article 1 (Purpose of Collection and Use of Personal Information)

The Company processes personal information for the following purposes. Personal information being processed shall not be used for purposes other than those listed below. If the purpose of use changes, the Company will take necessary measures such as obtaining separate consent pursuant to Article 18 of PIPA.

  • Handling inquiries and providing estimates related to global export licensing for cosmetics, chemicals, and food
  • Conclusion, performance, and post-management of consulting service contracts
  • Customer identification, identity verification, and securing communication channels
  • Statistical analysis and utilization of data for service improvement

Article 2 (Items and Methods of Personal Information Collection)

The Company processes the following personal information items:

Article 3 (Retention and Use Period of Personal Information)

The Company processes and retains personal information within the retention and use period stipulated by law or agreed upon at the time of collection from data subjects.

  • Inquiry and consultation records: Until the collection and use purpose is achieved (or the period required by applicable law if a separate retention obligation exists)
  • Records related to contract conclusion and transactions: The period stipulated by applicable laws including the Act on Consumer Protection in Electronic Commerce (5 years)
  • Website access records: 3 months pursuant to the Protection of Communications Secrets Act

Article 4 (Provision of Personal Information to Third Parties)

The Company processes personal information within the scope of the collection and use purposes set forth in Article 1, and does not process personal information beyond the original scope or provide it to third parties without the prior consent of the data subject. Exceptions apply in cases falling under Articles 17 and 18 of PIPA.

Article 5 (Consignment of Personal Information Processing)

For smooth processing of personal information tasks, the Company consigns personal information processing as follows:

When entering into consignment agreements, the Company stipulates in the contract matters regarding prohibition of personal information processing beyond the consignment purpose, technical and administrative protective measures, restrictions on re-consignment, and liability including compensation for damages, pursuant to Article 26 of PIPA.

Article 6 (Rights and Obligations of Data Subjects and How to Exercise Them)

Data subjects may exercise the following rights against the Company at any time:

  • Request to access personal information
  • Request for correction if there are errors
  • Request for deletion
  • Request to suspend processing

Rights may be exercised against the Company by written request, email, or fax in accordance with Article 41(1) of the Enforcement Decree of PIPA, and the Company will take action without delay.

Article 7 (Measures to Ensure Safety of Personal Information)

The Company takes the following measures to ensure the safety of personal information:

  • Administrative measures: Establishment and implementation of internal management plans, regular employee training
  • Technical measures: Management of access rights to personal information processing systems, installation of access control systems, encryption of unique identification information, installation of security programs
  • Physical measures: Access control for server rooms and document storage areas

Article 8 (Operation of and Opt-out from Automatic Information Collection Devices)

The Company uses 'cookies' that store and retrieve usage information to provide individually customized services to users.

  • Purpose of cookie use: To understand users' visit and usage patterns, popular search terms, and secure access status in order to provide optimized information
  • Cookie installation, operation, and opt-out: Cookie storage may be refused through the options in the Tools > Internet Options > Privacy menu of your web browser.
  • If you refuse to store cookies, you may experience difficulties using customized services.

Article 9 (Personal Information Protection Officer)

The Company designates a Personal Information Protection Officer as follows to oversee personal information processing tasks and to handle complaints and remedy damage related to personal information processing by data subjects:

Article 10 (Changes to Privacy Policy)

This Privacy Policy is effective from the date of enforcement. If there are additions, deletions, or corrections to the content due to changes in laws or policy, the Company will notify users through the notice board at least 7 days before the effective date of such changes.

Article 11 (Remedies for Infringement of Rights)
